Kvarnholmen (The Mill Island) is an old industrial area in Nacka, now transforming into a unique residential area at the waterway into Stockholm. It will provide homes for 7,000 people and workplaces for 1,000 people. Kvarnholmen’s old industrial buildings are being carefully converted into homes. Other buildings, like the Macaroni Factory, will become offices, cultural centers, local hubs, or schools.
