SGID Welcomes GRULAC Delegation to Stockholm

On December 5, Stockholm Green Innovation District (SGID), in collaboration with the City of Stockholm and in the presence of Councillor Olle Burell and Adam Rohan, welcomed a delegation of ambassadors from the GRULAC group (Group of Latin American and Caribbean Countries).

The visiting ambassadors represented countries from South and Central America and participated in a day focused on sustainability, innovation, and international cooperation. During the meeting, Carl Piva, Daniel Dersén, and Östen Ekengren shared key insights and the latest developments from the recent climate summit in Brazil. The presentations also highlighted the work of Stockholm Green Innovation District, including its role in fostering green innovation ecosystems, as well as available digital support tools designed to accelerate sustainable transformation.

At the request of the delegation, Swedish solutions within the fields of water management and waste systems were presented, showcasing practical and scalable approaches to urban sustainability.

The visit concluded with a highly appreciated study tour of Envac’s facility in Sickla, where the ambassadors gained first-hand insight into innovative waste collection solutions in operation.

Discussions are now ongoing with the individual embassies regarding the structure and scope of potential continued collaboration.
